After not being able to paint for MONTHS (I had like painters block) I finally was inspired to just do a portrait of one of my favorite singers, Brandy. I decided to not just paint this portrait but to make it into a Speed Painting I could also upload onto my YouTube page.
In the beginning I was going to just strictly copy the photograph, but I quickly felt constricted and wanted to add more from my imagination.
Before I knew it, the portrait had turned into a weird, serpent like Shampoo advertisement.
I am always fascinated by those amazingly unrealistic Shampoo/ Hair Dye ads you see in magazines so I welcomed it. Definitely was thinking about those ads in the back of my head while painting this. But yeah, I just let loose and it all came pouring out.
